A sunburnt world

In a future unseen today

Another sun sets.

She plays, bliss entwined

Alongside someone else’s sentences

Cotton wool minded and free,

We all miss her

Hoping to give love one more chance.

Another day floats by

Another wheel turns

The machine waits

Light listens for her between each breath

She dances with dreams

Our dreams
